Yes, another one. This is that 1/48 Hasegawa kit I built as "Big Squaw" in 2002. Since I built a new Big Squaw (see above), I removed the markings from the old one, and remarked her as Smokepole using Thundercals Decals. The paint and bare metal foil is part of the original build. Eduard seatbelts.
Built October 2022.

A second try at Dad's main Pacific squeeze on the 20th anniversary of the first. The Academy 1/48 scale kit again, since no one has done a better one in 20 years. This build uses info and research I discovered over the intervening years.
Icky was probably an early P-47N, a dash 1 or dash 2, thus she was probably equipped to carry only 4 rockets. Dad only had two aerial kills - when he told me nine, I guess he was including strafing kills. The model is armed up for a VLR mission to Japan. Eduard cockpit parts, Kit and Alsp decals.
